![]() ![]() I wanna really get out there and ride the Mother Fucker. When you have someone who really knows what it is, they get it right. Armen and PRIDE physically took the measurements and knew what core and the type of slick, mesh and stringers I needed. Cartel and Congo boards also gave me beautiful boards, it’s just ones too thin, the others too big. I’ve been out a bunch this year and I’m getting my legs and wings back under me and it gives you confidence knowing you have the proper technology under you. To ride such a quality board and still being at infant stages of coming back into it. It’s just cool to have the best types of products at your disposal. I guess people saw me boarding and they take notice and shit like that. My homies over at Cartel Boards attempted to make something as well, they sent me over a beautiful board immediately, but it’s unfortunately too big for me at this time because I’m in the process of getting my life together and have lost a bunch of weight. It’s fibreglass, an incredibly hand crafted board that he tried to make big enough for me to stay on because I was 400 god damn pounds, so kudos to him for making something that floated my fat ass. It actually all came about (getting back into bodyboarding) because I was going to do a commercial for this perfume I did called ‘Splash’ and I wanted to do something to do with water sports and my cousin Joe Falcone made me a board. This year was the year I met Armen and he changed the game. ![]() So the inspiration is always from my youth and shit that I love. In that song I say something about “Waxing the top of the board so we stay on” and it’s all about you’re wavy, you’re riding the wave and still to this day in my life I’m just riding this wave, there’s a never ending wave, so you gotta make sure you wax the top so you don’t slip off. There’s really no inspiration for it, I just like naming songs after things that I love. You have made a song called “Morey Boogie Boards” produced by Harry Fraud, what was the inspiration? Was that when you got back into bodyboarding? That’s where to this day my love has been and when I got back into the water it was just like I don’t wanna do anything but fucking get on the bodyboard to be honest, there’s no better feeling. We never went left or went right did any of that, we always tried to do tricks but you know the old school put your hand in the water to do a spin and just some weird shit. ![]() I remember me and my best friend Troy, that’s all we did, that’s all we ever wanted to do, we just loved it… It was like being superman and flying through the air but on water, just gliding on water and we just fell in love with it. I think I bought my first Morey board at the surf shop over there. Robert Moses State Park and Jones Beach Field 6 because it has the shortest walk and it seemed to have the best waves… I don’t wanna walk too far and they had a good concession stand at Robert Moses. I used to go to the beach constantly, every single morning in the summer time, whenever it was slightly warm. Where and how did your love for bodyboarding start? ![]()
